Collaborating with SharePoint:

SharePoint is many things to many people. For users, it's recognised as a website that has lots of useful functionality built-in like:-

  • Document Libraries offering optional controlled (check-in/check-out) editing of uploaded documents; optional automatic versioning and customisable metadata fields as well as integration with the latest versions of Mircrosoft Office, to name but a few of it's capabilites.
  • Editable and Customisable Lists with rich column filtering, sorting and editing tools as well as custom views. These are often used as a replacement for Excel Spreadsheets because they can have very similar functionality (including formulas in columns) and yet they are completely web based so they can be edited easily by multiple users. They also integrate tightly with Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Announcements for site users - by site users (just another form of List!)
  • Calenders for Scheduling Events (yet another type if List!)
  • Sub-sites and workspaces: Add as many as you need
  • Automated workflows to take the hassle out of managing processes like document approval or gathering info from users

  • Powerful and simple to use Search tool built into the site. It allows you to search the website, including inside documents contained in libraries on the site, which have the appropriate matching iFiltersinstalled on the server. - and at Centric, our servers have a LOT of iFilters installed for many different document types. This list is by no means comprehensive - it is just a sample of the more commonly known features available in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. Our pricing plans are very simple. There are two plans, which should cover over 90% of users requirements.

Hosted Windows SharePoint Services 1+1 Plan

Service Outline:-
The 1+1 Hosted Windows SharePoint Services Plan is a lightweight plan for smaller business and individual users. It is a simple per user/per month fee based plan where you can add and remove users as needed and the cost adjusts accordingly. Good for individuals and businesses who have between 1 and 19 users who will need to access the site. It offers clients the following:-

  • Zero setup fees.
  • Free 1 month trial.
  • 1GB of space for the site structure and content. With additional space available at the rate of $2.50 per GB per month (exclusive of GST).
  • $12.50 per month/per user (exclusive of GST) payable by direct credit.
  • Free user management for the site. (e-mail us with the new users name and e-mail address and we’ll add them, send out a welcome message and let you know when its done).
  • Daily full site backup and site disaster recovery service.
  • Secure, private web site – only members of the site may log in and access content and all traffic to/from the site is encrypted, including usernames and passwords.
  • Free phone and e-mail support for all site users during business hours (New Zealand Time Zone GMT+12.00, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday to Friday)
  • The sites web address will be in the form of https://share.centric.co.nz/XX/home where XX is your client number (assigned by us).

Cost: $12.50 per month/per user

Hosted Windows SharePoint Services 20+5 Plan

Service Outline:-
The 20+5 Hosted Windows SharePoint Services Plan is a fixed monthly fee plan for larger organisations and groups – from 20 to 50 users, with 5GB of storage space as standard. It also has some additional benefits as outlined below:-:-

  • Zero setup fees.
  • Free 1 month trial.
  • Lightweight custom branding of site (see note 1)
  • Up to 5GB of space for the site structure and content with additional storage space available at $2.50 per GB per month (exclusive of GST).
  • Up to 50 users. No per user fees, just a single monthly flat fee to keep it simple. (see the Costs section below).
  • Free minor site modifications each month to keep the site evolving with your organisations needs (see note 2).
  • Free site managment and administration. (Which covers such things as adding and removing users and configuring/setting up of associated permissions on site content).
  • Daily full site backup and site disaster recovery service.
  • Secure, private web site – only members of the site may log in and access content and all traffic to/from the site is encrypted, including usernames and passwords.
  • 24 hour callout service should any problems arise.
  • Free phone and e-mail support for all site users during business hours (New Zealand Time Zone GMT+12.00, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday to Friday).
  • Your SharePoint site URL can be tied to your existing internet domain name (e.g. if your business has the domain name mystuff.com, then your SharePoint site address could be share.mystuff.com)
Note 1: Site branding is limited to creation of a custom SharePoint Site Theme which alters to colour scheme and graphics of the base SharePoint site. Customisation which requires the alteration of the layout structure of the SharePoint site or implementation of custom functionality would be treated as a separate development project and would be subject to a full scope of work and pricing.

Note 2: Site modification work is limited to that which can be implemented completely within a 2 hour timeframe using the tools available through the SharePoint web interface. This is on a monthly basis (2 hours per month). Any site modifications that would take longer to implement than the 2hours/month period, or which required the use of a tool other than the SharePoint web interface would be treated as a separate development project and would be subject to a full scope of work and pricing.

Cost:A flat monthly fee of NZD $250.00 (exclusive of GST) payable by direct credit.
